Meet Jenelle

Jenelle is our first International Crohnnie profile and is from Nova Scotia. She has battled Crohn’s for 25 years now and been through 12 surgeries! In that 25 year timespan, she has been in remission for only 6 of them.

Dealing with the pain is a daily challenge for Jenelle and is currently on pain meds to help her through the day.

Jenelle shares the same sentiment like many other people and that is just because “I don’t look sick doesn’t mean that I am not sick.” This is something that our friends, family and friends have to understand. If we aren’t feeling well, we generally will listen to our bodies and pass on different events and just stay home and chill out.

Unfortunately, Crohn’s has held her back from working in life. I hear stories like this all the time and it breaks my heart. There are so many people that battle with Crohn’s and have to be on disability because they just can’t work.

It is people like Jenelle I run for.

Want to help find a cure? Please help me get to my new goal of $2500 and support me and my ‘crohnnies’ help find a cure and run this marathon together.
