It’s been a little while since I have written and given an update. March was a little tough to say the least with conditioning. I had pulled a muscle in my lower hamstring so I didn’t hit my goals that I was going for which is always frustrating.
On the bright side of things, in the last 2 weeks, I have run in Las Vegas and on the beach in Florida. It’s something about running outside that is soooo much better than an indoor track. You have visuals that you see and target for. Plus, I am running better times outside! I am down around 8:35/mile and about at the best time I have ever run!
This week is the first week of training for Chicago. I am so excited for this journey. I know it won’t be easy with some longer runs during the week, but know that I will get there over time with the plan that is in place.
On another note, I hit my goal for fundraising to run the Chicago Marathon for this year! I did actually increase it from $1500 to $2000 as I want to raise as much money as possible to cure this incurable disease that so many people are affected by. I am up to $1825 to date. If you would like to join the fight, even with a small amount, you can donate here.
Cheers to training and be sure to follow the journey by subscribing!
Good for you!! Best of luck on your journey!!!
