Saturday mornings have been what I live for lately, even for a guy that doesn’t ‘love’ running. For an hour or so, I am able to check out of everything in life and just run. I think about Forrest Gump when he got up one day and “I just went running.”
It was a good week and I got a few runs in, and even got outside for a run while I was traveling. It was a rainy week in the midwest, but while I was in Naperville, there was a break in the rain and just a little drizzle. I ran along the river, but had to jump a lot of puddles, taking u-turns, but it ended up being one of my better runs as far as time was concerned.
My times are getting better and better and getting closer to my times a couple years ago. I would imagine that in the next month, I will be within 10 seconds of my best times. My goal was 65 miles this month, and am going to be close, but not sure if I will make it with a pending trip this week for work.
Only 13 miles run this week, but I am so looking forward to the weather breaking outside which should be this month. I am getting a little tired of running in circles at the gym.
In order to run the Chicago Marathon, I must raise at lease $1500 for CCFA. You can support me and also help raise money for research to find a cure for Crohn’s Disease. I would be grateful for your financial support. http://bit.ly/2mZXqf8
